The Social and Dramatic Union is the premier cultural committee at Jai Hind
College tasked with organizing various cultural events including SHOUTT, the inter-
collegiate festival of Jai Hind College. It is responsible for providing the students with a
platform to showcase their talents and enrich cultural value.
On November 24th, 2024, the Social and Dramatic Union of Jai Hind College
organized a beach cleanup drive in collaboration with their title sponsor, Nostrum. The event
took place at Mahim Beach, starting from 7:30 am, with the SDU committee in attendance
The day started early for the members of the Social and Dramatic Union as they made their
way to Mahim Beach for their beach cleanup drive. Organised in collaboration with their title
sponsor, Nostrum, the members were there to clean up an area of the beach. Armed with
gloves and trash bags, they made quick work of the task in front of them. Their efforts left the
beach visibly cleaner than before, collecting several bags of trash to be turned over to the
authorities for proper disposal.
The day concluded with the beach being cleaner than before and the members
having made countless new memories, along with a sense of satisfaction at their efforts
towards a cleaner future. The Social and Dramatic Union is committed to continuing such
initiatives, bringing joy and support to those in need.
